If the bleeding does not subside, seek immediate attention with an emergency room or specialist. It is best to seek medical attention early to help with wound repair.
Professional Help with Lacerations: Animal bites, open surgical wounds, and lacerations often need immediate attention with a plastic surgeon. Err on the side of being conservative when seeking a medical professional. It is always better to seek more care than less. Depending on the severity of your cut, you may need stitches to help the wound heal faster and prevent further damage.
